Sylvia and her family

Sylvia Bastone is the founder, owner, and lead director at New Beginnings Long Island. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Education from Mercy College, as well as a Masters in Education from Dowling College.  Sylvia taught pre-school for fifteen years and served as a preschool director for four years before going out on her own and proudly opening New Beginnings of Kings Park in 2012 . The Kings Park location was followed closely by New Beginnings of Hauppauge in 2017 and finally New Beginnings of Smithtown in 2021. Sylvia is married to her husband Franco who is the Co-Founder and Executive Director for New Beginnings. They have two daughters, AnneMarie Logan and Antoinette Kluckhohn.

Antoinette has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from St. John’s University and a Masters in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University. Antoinette is a Marketing Director at all three locations. AnneMarie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Hofstra University and a Master’s Degree in Education from St. Joseph’s University. She is the Education Director at the Smithtown location.

AnneMarie’s husband Christopher works as a groundskeeper at Kings Park Central School District. Antoinette’s husband Orion is a Systems Administrator at a Department of Defense Contractor and is the IT manager at all three locations.
