Sylvia Bastone has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology a Minor in Education from Mercy College and also a Masters in Education from Dowling College. Sylvia taught preschool for fifteen years, and served as a preschool director for four years before proudly opening New Beginnings of Kings Park in 2012 and a few years later in 2017 she opened New Beginnings of Hauppauge. Sylvia is married to her husband Franco and they have two daughters Annemarie and Antoinette.
New Beginnings is a daycare and preschool center that cares for infants as young as six weeks old to children of school age, in addition to providing before and after care for school age children, up to age twelve. New Beginnings is open from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM and also offers school-age care during holiday break and spring break.
New Beginnings is focused on the principles of a Creative Curriculum. Offering a nurturing setting in which children learn through play, art and music with a strong emphasis on readiness skills so their pre-k students are set for Kindergarten.
New Beginnings has mounted video cameras as well as a buzz in system for the safety of their children & staff.
